Shared progress.
Private conversations.
Here’s what Zuko stores and how you control it.
What Zuko uses
Zuko stores your connected iMessage phone number or email, display name, settings, habits, check-ins, reminders, and the messages you exchange with Zuko. Your messages and relevant habit context are sent to Anthropic to generate AI replies. The service uses a database and hosting providers to keep your account available.
What your people see
People in a shared habit can see members’ display names, the habit details, check-in status, and progress. They do not receive the text of your private conversation with Zuko. Invite links reveal the habit you’re inviting someone to; share them only with the people you want to join.
Payments and sign-in
When paid plans are available, Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions. Zuko keeps customer and subscription references and status. Card details are handled by Stripe. Dashboard sign-in uses a one-time code sent to the phone number you have already used to text Zuko, followed by an essential session cookie. Keep sign-in codes and private login links to yourself.
Your controls
In your dashboard, you can change your timezone, set reminder quiet hours, stop messages, download your account data, or delete your account. You can also text STOP to disable messages and START to enable them again. Quiet hours apply to reminders and shared check-in notifications.
Keeping and deleting data
Habit and conversation history stays in your account until you delete it or request its removal. Account deletion removes your profile details and private conversation text from Zuko’s active database, stops reminders, cancels any subscription immediately, and removes your personal solo habit data. Shared history remains with a deleted-member identity so your partners keep their own records.
Copies may remain in your or other participants’ Messages apps, the connected Mac’s message history, provider records, and backups. Deleting your Zuko account does not erase those separate copies. Contact us for requests involving them. If you start a new conversation after deletion, you may create a new empty account.
Questions or requests
Email hello@zuko.ai for a privacy request or a question about your data. Include enough information to identify your account; please do not send passwords or sign-in links.
